CR-1 Smart Charger The CR-1 Smart Charger was designed to give train enthusiasts the ability to charge and operate their battery-powered train engine right from your existing Box-Car, Gondola, Coal Hopper or Tender. The CR-1's light weight construction and design makes it versatile for several different applications, which feature an internal gas gauge and ability to charge four different battery chemistries. Through internal dip-switches the CR-1 is able to recognize your batteries chemistry and apply the correct voltage to charge it to its full capacity. But one of the best features the CR-1 offers is its internal gas gauge. Through five LED lights the CR-1 displays your batteries capacity in 20% intervals while charging or discharging your battery. And as smart as it is easy to use, the gas gauge will also indicate when you need to recharge your battery-pack. When your battery reaches 10% or less of its capacity, the 20% LED light on the gas gauge will start of flash this is when youll need to recharge your battery.
